Projection Spot Welding Method of Automobile Fuel Tank and Fixed Flange

The projection spot welding method of the automobile fuel tank body and the fixed flange includes the following steps:

a) A set of bumps are punched out along the annular disk surface of the fixed flange;

b) Place the tank body of the automobile fuel tank on the lower electrode of the CNC projection welding machine, and the welding lip of the automobile fuel tank box body and the boss of the lower electrode of the CNC projection welding machine form a match;

c) Place the fixed flange on the welding lip of the automobile fuel tank, and the convex surface of the fixed flange is in contact with the top surface of the automobile fuel tank;

d) Start the numerical control projection welding machine, and weld the automobile fuel tank body and the fixed flange through the cooperation of the upper electrode and the lower electrode. The bumps on the fixed flange and the base material of the automobile fuel tank body are instantly fused under the cooperation of the upper and lower electrodes to achieve the purpose of firm welding without damaging the welding lip; the welding is formed at one time, which greatly improves the welding efficiency and the welding process. It is automatically completed by the CNC projection welding machine, and different welding parameters can be set according to different products, which improves the welding quality.
